2 Hammarskjold Plaza, located on Second Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets, is a 16 story, international style office building. This building houses a number of Permanent Missions to the UN and Consulates General. Designed by Raymond & Rado in 1972, Hammarskjold Plaza is considered the "gateway to the United Nations".
